Senior citizens who live under the poverty line will now receive non-contribution pension under the Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme aka IGNOAPS (Vrudh Pension Yojana). In the year 1995 the scheme was launched by the central government. Under the supervision of the Ministry of Rural Development India the scheme was launched as a major part of National Social Assistance Programme. The scheme is not for everyone but as mentioned it is for the people who are unable to earn their needs to survive.
